This Life Is More Satisfying

Drama premise Ten years ago, Liu Ruyan, the legitimate daughter of the Liu family, married Qin Lang, a young lord of the Duke of Yingguo's household, while her half-sister Liu Ruyi was married to a destitute scholar. Qin Lang proved dissolute and committed treason, bringing ruin on his family, while the poor scholar rose to become a chancellor wielding power over the court. Liu Ruyan attacks in a frenzy; Liu Ruyi retaliates, and both women die. When they open their eyes again, they are back ten years earlier, and elder sister Liu Ruyan is scrambling to marry the poor scholar. Liu Ruyi smiles: in her last life she toiled for half a lifetime and schemed step by step to make a poor scholar into a chancellor. This time she begins married to the legitimate heir of a noble household, a far richer starting position than she has ever had. The regrets of her last life are all made good in this one.
