Refusing Fate in a Proxy Marriage – Episode 1

In 1979, Qin Zhixia is forced to marry into a remote mountain village in place of her sister. Facing a lame husband and a harsh mother-in-law, she endures suffering but refuses to accept her fate. She cultivates high-quality medicinal herbs, outsmarts drug bullies, leads the village to set up a cooperative, and lifts everyone out of poverty. Transforming from an oppressed proxy bride to a tough matriarch, she proves that her fate is in her own hands, not the mountains.
