The Awakening of a Desperate Housewife
Martha spent thirty years sustaining her family through cooking, cleaning, and funding them with her bakery while her husband Richard pursued cello. When she asks about a long-promised European trip, they dismiss her as childish. That night she discovers five first-class tickets to Paris for Richard, their son Jason's family, and her sister Valerie. Martha packs their bags, sells the house, and flies one-way to Costa Rica. When they return to strangers, she serves divorce papers and refuses to be their unpaid maid again.
