Summer Rose

Free-spirited photographer Bai Qingmei is pushed into an engagement with Hengtai CEO Zhou Shengan and resists with a three-rule pact, privately finding him dull. His attentive care—carrying her shoes, cooking brown-sugar water—gradually warms her, and feelings grow. But haunted by family shadows and a fear of "open relationships," Bai Qingmei mistakes his forbearance for indifference and breaks off the engagement. When Zhang Jiuwan behaves indecently toward her, Zhou Shengan steps in to protect her and follows her to Jingbei to propose. After further trials, Bai Qingmei steps out of her shadows and embraces his devotion as their midsummer love finally blooms. Adapted from the Tomato Novel Shenqing Youyin by Niao Songmi.
