Plum Fragrance in the Dark
On a snowy night in Jiangcheng, noodle-shop owner Yu Qingmei rescues a bloodied Xiao Hanshen. A plum-embroidered handkerchief and a jade pendant connect their paths. Seeking to clear her imprisoned parents' names, she later enters the Xiao household, where the silent, forbidding patriarch is the same man she once saved.
