To reinstate his disgraced mentor Chen Yifeng, he must crack the 'August 13th Mystery Case'. Cheng Siyue and Xia Tiantian assist him in the investigation. When Xia Tiantian is kidnapped, Ke Zeming traces clues to find her, eventually exposing the crimes of hotel owner Li Junhe and arresting him, closing the case.
